bare foot

Now that you've caught a glimpse of my niece again, I know you want to
                                                see another picture.

Why yes, I am barefoot! I almost never wear shoes unless I am going somewhere outside of the yard. Most of the time.

I haven't been able to stop humming the song To Know Your Name by Hillsong.

I go through this strange progression of feelings when I am going to go thrift store shopping. I am very very excited as soon as I know I am going to be able to go thrift store shopping, but  the night/day of, I get this strange nervous feeling. It goes away once I begin spending money, but I don't think I ever get that feeling for anything else.
I knew I would be able to go thrift shopping when I visited my sister, so I tried to pack accordingly, trying to leave as much room as possible for any purchases. Did I ever need that room!
I guzzled down a blackberry Italian creme soda between shops. So good!

These were also from last week. Does my skill impress you even more? I spent a portion of the day filling up water balloons for a group game.

I love blue and green. Actually, I love all colors. Well, shades of all the colors. But I don't know if I have found a shade of blue or green I haven't liked. So I do love blue and green.

sprig of mint

I like the word sprig. So I had to include it in the title. :) This is a glimpse of an outfit I wore last  week. (don't think anything of my highly perfected skill to put things off)

It is one of those days when I haven't done anything at all, yet I'm tired. I feel like I am in a haze.
Well, maybe I have done a little something. If it is possible to half-way read, I did it. I also memorized the Spanish word for pillow. Amhanda. No, I mean Almohada (thank you google). I guess I didn't really complete that either.

trip recap: day with family

We spent one of the days in Duluth with family. We went to a few tourist shops followed by lunch at the Green Mill.

We also visited Leif Erikson Park, which was beautiful, but unfortunately the roses weren't in bloom.

trip review: mall of america!

If you haven't been to the Mall of America, you need too.  We went several afternoons for a couple of hours at least. Even with all that time, we only shopped the first floor. At the end of the week I was so sore, it hurt to walk. The sorest I think I've ever been, even after gym. Try hobbling everywhere with an 80 year olds walk, tottering down stairs.
I love bubble tea, so good.
One day they were giving out free Pepsi Throwbacks. amazing, right? who can't resist a free drink? let's just say that we walked casually by that area several times. I got a picture in the pick up, and the man with the AMAZING afro happened to make an appearance also!

trip review: lake superior

Lake Superior is so  big and beautiful! Don't tell anyone in Texas, but oftentimes I am so in awe of the Lake (yes, that is what I call it, and you should too.) that I find myself with the state of mind that it is bigger and more beautiful then Texas. It is quite cold too.

trip review: enger tower

during the first few days in Minnesota we visited Duluth. That city holds a lot of memories for my family. We visited Enger Park first, and it felt good to walk around!  I believe my butt still hasn't recovered from all that driving. Will it ever?

A lot of flowers, shade, and paths.
It makes me frusterated when I can't capture with my camera what I want to. This trip has made me determined to buy a bettter quality camera.
turn towards the sky and remember.
