glancing through my book, "Be The One" by Jonathan Sprinkles....

"He understood that leadership is not about making people afraid to disrespect you. It is about compelling people to never want to disappoint you."

"You are wasting your time if you're worrying about your personality type. Instead, shift your focus toward learning how to become more effective at influencing the people you're leading."

You may see yourself as compassionate, cautious, rational, focused, practical; others may see you as overly-emotional, indecisive, unfeeling, unappreciative, predictable."

"Passion persuades."

"Clarity allows you to eliminate any thoughts that are inconsistent with your goal."

"commitment is doing what you say you will do, long after the mood in which you said it has left you."

Critics:
"All feedback is good (for you).
They are speaking the truth (to them) - either receive or defend.
Consider the source - what their position/authority is and whether it is constructive or not.
Fix it.

"Always focus on being the first, Be the first to speak up, be the first to lead a standing ovation, be the first to say thank you, be the first to apologize, be the first to offer to pay, be the first to clean up, and be the first to raise your hand when it is time to ask questions."

"If the direction you're heading doesn't inspire people to want to jump on board, you're thinking too small, and you're wasting everyone's time."

"When your clear about who you are, you will attract people who want the same things you do."
